This EC recovery kit is a tool to flash the Embedded Controller (EC) of our laptops externally. The kit can be used to overwrite the EC firmware after a bad flash, for example when having flashed the wrong EC version or the EC firmware from a wrong model. We refer to the recovery instructions.

– an Atmega 16U2 – MEGA2560 board, Arduino compatible
– a 24-pin FFC cable with a 1.0mm pitch, same-sided
– a 24-pin FFC breakout board with a 1.0mm pitch FFC connector and a 2.54mm pitch pin header
– USB-A to USB-B cable to connect the board to the host
– USB-A to USB-C cable for grounding
– a 24-pin 0.5mm pitch top-contact FPC SMT Connector
– FFC / FPC Cable, 24 Core, 0.5 mm, same-sided, 6″, 152 mm
