NovaCustom switches to memory modules from GOODRAM

In April 2024, we had a productive and inspiring business trip to Poland. During this trip, we visited GOODRAM, a leading European manufacturer of high-quality memory solutions. This experience offered us valuable insight into GOODRAM’s outstanding quality and innovative technologies. However, many of you are not familiar with this brand. So it’s time for a blog post!

Visiting GOODRAM

The highlight of our trip was our visit to the facility of GOODRAM. This is a brand of Wilk Elektronik SA and based in Łaziska Górne, Poland. It is known for its high-quality memory modules and storage solutions.

Guided tour of the factory

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the team at GOODRAM and given a comprehensive tour of their modern production facilities. It was impressive to see how advanced and efficient their production process is. From design and development to production and quality control, every aspect of the process is carried out with the utmost care and precision. What gave us a lot of confidence is that the modules are extensively tested under different conditions.

Quality and innovation

During the tour, it became clear to us that GOODRAM has a strong focus on quality and innovation. Their products undergo rigorous testing to ensure they meet the highest standards. We saw how memory modules and SSDs are tested for reliability and performance. The dedication of GOODRAM’s R&D team in particular gave us great confidence in their products.

European manufacturing

By choosing European production, we can guarantee a more stable and reliable supply of high-quality components. This means that we are less dependent on production in China. Unfortunately, we are not yet completely independent of China, since the chips mounted on the internal memory modules still come from there, which is the case for all manufacturers, by the way.

However, it is a step in the right direction to reduce dependence on this Marxist-Leninist state. After all, that is the direction we are heading, since we have already brought a significant part of the production of our laptops to the EU ourselves. Moreover, we offer our laptops with Dasharo coreboot firmware for a secure base software (firmware) for the device.

Collaboration with GOODRAM

An important part of our visit was to confirm our partnership with GOODRAM. We are pleased to announce that we will be using GOODRAM internal memory modules and SSDs for our new laptops. GOODRAM’s high-quality and reliable storage solutions fit perfectly with our vision to deliver powerful and durable laptops to our customers. This collaboration marks an important step forward in improving our product performance and customer satisfaction.

Our new modules

We are very excited about our own range of SSDs, internal memory modules and USB sticks, all bearing our own logo. These products are manufactured with GOODRAM’s high-quality components and are specially designed to meet stringent quality standards, delivering outstanding performance and, above all, reliability.

Thorough testing procedures

One of the most impressive aspects of our visit was seeing the thorough testing procedures GOODRAM uses for their products. Each memory module and SSD undergoes extensive testing and quality checks that evaluate various aspects of performance and durability. These include:

• Temperature testing: Products are extensively tested. For example, test modules are exposed to extreme temperature variations to ensure they remain reliable under a variety of conditions.

• Stress and durability testing: GOODRAM conducts extensive stress and durability tests to ensure the longevity and reliability of their products. This includes reusing raw materials from the memory modules that did not pass the quality tests.

• Compatibility testing: The products are extensively tested for compatibility with the laptops we supply to ensure seamless operation.

• Performance testing: The speed and efficiency of memory modules and SSDs are thoroughly tested to ensure they meet GOODRAM’s high performance standards.

These extensive testing procedures give us confidence that the products we purchase from GOODRAM are of the highest quality and consistently deliver performance our customers have come to expect from us.

Discovering the local culture

After our visits and meetings, we also had the chance to enjoy the local culture and cuisine. We enjoyed Polish food in different restaurants, which was a nice ending to our productive days.

Our business trip to Poland was a great success, thanks in part to the visit to GOODRAM. The tour of their factory and the confirmation of our cooperation were very valuable.
