• Battery life: 420 minutes (7 hours)* – *This battery life indication is a realistic value based on a mix of light tasks in Windows 11 such as web surfing and watching videos. This was tested with WiFi enabled, Bluetooth disabled, the screen brightness level at 50% and the keyboard backlight enabled at the lowest brignlevel. The battery life indication is highly dependent on the intensity of the laptop use and the health of the battery. Therefore, no rights can be derived from this value. Ubuntu and other GNU/Linux operating systems have a similar battery life, unless a dedicated Nvidia graphics card was chosen. The battery life is about 40/50% worse in that case, as the Nvidia graphics card consumes power even if it’s not in use. Windows on the other hand barely suffers from a worse battery life with an Nvidia GPU. • Support for Power Delivery charging (PD – charging via USB-C), min. 100W |

Drivers
Preferably, the Windows drivers should always be installed automatically via Windows Updates. All drivers should be available there. Also check for optional updates.
Please note that GNU/Linux operating systems do not require any additional drivers. We recommend that you use the latest version (LTS) of your Linux operating system and install all available updates. Please note that Linux kernel 6.9 or higher is required.

The laptop is pretty much as expected. With no engravings, it looks clean and minimalist. The keyboard is easier to use than on my last laptop, the trackpad is large, screen is perfect for my use. The lid flexes slightly when the laptop is closed, and the empty space where the camera module would have been also flexes, but I don’t believe it will be an issue.

Excellent service. Wessel patiently answered all my questions before I ordered the laptop. Since I was new to Linux, I created a big mess on my laptop and had to reinstall Ubuntu. They helped me reinstall it, and I’m very happy with my purchase; however, compared to my Macbook Pro, the speakers are very poor, but since I use bluetooth headset, it’s not an issue, but it would be nice if there is an option for better speakers in the future.

I have been daily driving this laptop for the past couple months, ever since the versions with integrated graphics were released. Overall, I’m loving it: Its keyboard feels so much better to use than on my old Macbook, and its screen is great. Coming from a macbook, the speakers definitely have significant room for improvement, but this isn’t a huge issue for my use case since I almost always use bluetooth headphones with my computer. On top of that, the Linux Kernel in my distribution (Fedora) seems to be having an issue where, on version 6.10 upwards, some part of the ethernet driver causes broken suspend functionality when the laptop is closed, but I expect this issue to be resolved very soon, and it is currently resolved in the earliest kernel 6.12 builds. On the whole, these are both very minor issues and I am very happy with my purchase.

Excellent computer. Great service. Fast delivery. I bought this computer for business usage and it’s a great fit for my activity. The fact that we can track component, and that the service is in EU, helped a lot. For the price I paid, performance are awesome so great deal for a business. I recommend the service and the laptops!

I’ve had my laptop for several weeks now and couldn’t be happier. The order arrived in 10 days, the size is exactly what I want, the dual boot I requested works flawlessly, it SCREAMS in Linux, and a minor hiccup a few hours into my setup was answered over Signal in detail as soon as I could reasonably expect, given the time difference.
A friend mentioned he was looking for a new laptop two days after mine arrived; he liked the specs and price, and when I told him about the 3 yr warranty and availability of replacement parts, he wanted the website.
Last, and I’m possibly imagining this, but I swear I’m typing faster and more accurately. The keyboard is perfectly responsive to my typing style.
Literally the only thing that I would change is the power brick is about 1 cm too long to fit in the organizer I use for power cables and mouse. That’s it. If Nova ever offers a smaller form factor, I’ll but one for travel, but until then I will somehow manage to cope.

I am delighted with the computer, which was delivered with excellent, reliable, friendly service. I would not have dared to attempt to install coreboot+Heads on my own, and navigating the world of Linux hardware to ensure QubesOS compatibility would have been a daunting task for me. I am grateful to Wessel and the NovaCustom team for having built this certified compatible laptop.
