I have a vaguely similar issue on my V54 in that the trackpad does things i dont want it to
In my case often when i right click on the track pad using two fingers to open a menu and immediately slide one finger across so that the cursor is above an item in the menu, when i release my finger from the trackpad from moving the cursor (i havent clicked/selected anything) it automatically performs a "double select" action.
To give an example, i right click on a link in a browser, reasonably quickly move the cursor to "open in new tab" and when i remove my finger (i havent tapped to select or anything yet) not only is the new tab opened but if the cursor was still above the link then the link is also selected opening the link in the current tab as well.
